Sunday 2 May 2010

So, as I sit here waiting for the mobile mechanic to come and fix the car so it will start (how annoying..and on a Monday morning!), it's as good a time as any to write last night's dinner.

We had Spaghetti Bolognese with a nice crispy garlic bread.  It tasted really good (sometimes you make a good one, sometimes it doesn't turn out so well) which made it a relaxing start to the night.

Cooking up...garlic, onion and mince meat, with a nice amount of ground pepper.

These are tomatoes and a zucchini fresh from the garden, vegetables are so much better fresh and it's so worth the effort in growing them.  I squash the tomatoes once the meat is all browned, add some good quality salt, then add the zucchini grated up.

So, cooking away,  with basil, oregano, and some bay leaves.

And it's all ready to eat.  So good, and great leftovers for the freezer too :)

Next was sweets, nice and simple, strawberries, passionfruit, and some chocolate.

Great dinner, what do you think?

Mechanic is here...gotta go!

Until tomorrow :)

Thanks for your comments :)

- Kimonos, I don't know if you'll actually enjoy seeing what we had for dinner, it's a bit of a silly thing really (telling people what you ate...), but this is keeping me busy and quite entertained too
